Our idea is very simple. I am the mother of a five yr. old autistic daughter. Potty training has been a night mare, and I know we are not alone in this. One of the major issues we have had is that Myah, my daughter, does not let us know that she is wet or dirty, she could care less. We are accustomed to checking frequently; however when leaving her with family or friends she can go hours with a wet diaper and end up with a rash.
We thought "hey, what if the diaper told us when it was wet?" A simple film with a moisture detector inside the diaper that would sound an alarm when moisture is detected would work wonders. It would let the toddler as well as the care giver know that it was changing time.
The great thing about this idea is it can be used in several areas, convalescent homes, retirement homes, general population for potty training children, day care. This would help end diaper rash and yeast infections from not being changed in a timely manner.
