Author is anxious to turn multi-book “Anthony Kids' Safety Series” into National TV and web cartoon series. The debut book of the series, “Anthony Meets the Playground Bully” has been very well received by adults and thousands of children as a positive addition to their respective lives. Though the inspiring cartoon, proceeds to be shared with disadvantaged youth groups, primary focus will be eliminating all forms of bullying, it will delicately depict numerous other daily safety and health issues including dental hygiene and pool safety. Many children are being raised in single parent households absent of the once extended family environment that provided an extension of love, discipline and constant reinforcement of safety lessons learned. Sadly, each year in the U.S. alone three million bullying incidents are reported, 1500 children drown and another 600 children die in pedestrian accidents in addition to the 38,500 injured. In 1999, more than 50,000 children and adolescents were taken by non family members.
The TV series will act as protector, surrogate parent and nurturer by providing youngsters absent of constant adult supervision decision making skills and life saving/changing guidance both in and around the home, the playground, supermarkets and malls.
